Wesley Sneijder Agrees Deal To Join Manchester United

Wesley Sneijder is close to joining Manchester United after the Glazers sanctioned the £35m bid to bring the talented Dutchman to Old Trafford. It is reported that Sneijder was forced to compromise his demands of £250,000-a-week and instead will earn £190,000 per week and is close to completing a move the the BPL champions. Sneijder is seen as a replacement for the recently retired Paul Scholes and even though Inter Milan were reluctant to sell, a £35m was just too good a deal to turn down.

Inter Milan technical director Marco Branca, has denied that there has been a bid made for Dutch midfielder, Wesley Sneijder. Manchester United have been strongly linked with Sneijder and Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that he is a target, but Inter Milan are reluctant to sell. Samir Nasri Unlikely To Join Manchester United

Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that Frenchman Samir Nasri has agreed to leave Arsenal, but it is highly unlikely that he will be joining Manchester United. The 24 year old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford and United reportedly had a £20m bid rejected. Wes Brown Completes Sunderland Move, O'shea Having Medical

Wes Brown has completed a move to Sunderland for an undisclosed fee. Brown 31, who is a product of Manchester United's academy, and has made 361 appearances for the red devils, has signed a four year deal with the Black Cats. Meanwhile, reports state that John O'shea has had a medical at Sunderland and is expected to sign a deal soon.

Chelsea May Enter Race For Samir Nasri Signature

Chelsea are monitoring Samir Nasri's situation at Arsenal and could challenge Manchester United for the France international's signature should their pursuit of alternative targets, principally Tottenham Hotspur's Luka Modric, be frustrated. Arsenal have, as yet, failed to convince Nasri to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium, where the midfielder, a £15.8m signing from Marseille in 2008, has entered the final 12 months of his contract. Two MPs from the Labour Party, who are both from Manchester, have tabled a motion in commons calling for Sir Alex Ferguson to be awarded a peerage. Graham Stringer and Tony Lloyd argue that football should be represented in the House of Lords because of its "economic, social, cultural" importance. And Ferguson, who was knighted in 1999 has just led Manchester United to a 12th Premier League title and a record 19 league title would appear to be the perfect person for such a role.
