Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that the club is close to a deal to bring David De Gea to Old Trafford. Manchester United are looking to replace 40 year old Edwin Van Der Sar who will retire at the end of the season, a season which ends after the Champions League final against Barcelona this Saturday. "We've been working on it [the deal] for quite a while, he is young, very quick, good composure, presence and an outstanding replacement for Van der Sar." said Ferguson after Gary Neville's testimonial on Tuesday.

According to the BBC, Former Old Trafford favourite David Beckham has been given permission by Los Angeles Galaxy to play for Manchester United in his close friend Gary Neville's testimonial against Juventus on Tuesday. David Beckham will line up against and with former colleagues such as Nicky Butt, Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes in Gary Neville's farewell match.
