Sir Alex Ferguson plans to ban a journalist for asking a question about Ryan Giggs that the Manchester United manager deemed to be inappropriate. The journalist, Rob Harris of the Associated Press posed a question to Ferguson about the winger at a media day held by Uefa, about the importance of Ryan Giggs to Manchester United. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that the club is close to a deal to bring David De Gea to Old Trafford. Manchester United are looking to replace 40 year old Edwin Van Der Sar who will retire at the end of the season, a season which ends after the Champions League final against Barcelona this Saturday. "We've been working on it [the deal] for quite a while, he is young, very quick, good composure, presence and an outstanding replacement for Van der Sar." said Ferguson after Gary Neville's testimonial on Tuesday.
