Sir Alex Ferguson Moves To Ban Journalist For Asking Question About Giggs

Sir Alex Ferguson plans to ban a journalist for asking a question about Ryan Giggs that the Manchester United manager deemed to be inappropriate.

The journalist, Rob Harris of the Associated Press posed a question to Ferguson about the winger at a media day held by Uefa, about the importance of Ryan Giggs to Manchester United.

Fergie then replied, “All of the players are important, every one of them.” Fergie could then be seen
whispering to a press officer and he is thought to have said, “We’ll get him. Ban him on Friday.”

The full conversation is thought to be:
Ferguson (to press officer): ‘The guy that asked the question about Giggsy….’

Press officer: ‘Which one?’

Ferguson: ‘Him that asked the question… who?’

Press officer: ‘Oh yeah. I’ll tell you later.’

Ferguson: ‘Who?’

Press officer: ‘I’ll tell you later.’

Ferguson: ‘Is he coming on Friday’

Press officer: ‘The guy with the laptop?’

Ferguson: ‘Aye. Then we’ll get him. Ban him on Friday.’
