Manchester United have announced that they have completed a deal to sign defender Phil Jones from Blackburn Rovers. The deal was reportedly in tatters, as several newspapers reported that Blackburn wanted more than the £16 million reportedly in Phil Jones contract as a release clause, and Liverpool had allegedly bid £6 million more for the highly rated young defender. But on monday, United reported that they have finally sealed the deal for a fee that could rise to £17 million. And Jones, announced to his twitter fans "It's a once in a lifetime opportunity and I'm looking forward to a new challenge. "I'd just like to say that I've loved my time at Blackburn and I will always be a huge fan."

Manchester United have unveiled their home kit for the upcoming season and the launch has been met with mixed reactions. Some persons claim the kit is dreadful, while others claim to like it. At first sight, it didn't look anything special to me but I have grown to love this new kit and will hopefully go out and get one soon.
